Another nice run of cattle today. We sold 174 dairy cows, 58 dairy heifers, 110 cull cows, 28 fats, 77 feeder cattle, 4 dairy bulls, 11 market bulls, 70 bull calves, 10 heifer calves.
Top dairy cows 2200 Joseph R Miller, Coloma. 2200 Nolan Garman, Colby. Top Jersey 2000 Eli Beiler, Platteville. Better cows 1700- 2100. Many good cows 900- 1600. Of course last weeks tops were 2700- 3500.
Top springers 1100- 1450. Open Holstein heifers 80- 1.10 /lb. Single birth Holstein heifer calves 25- 65/hd.
Dairy bulls 700- 1650. Market bulls mostly 74- 85.
Choice Holstein steers and heifers 90- 95.25, crossbreds 100.oo- 106.50. Holstein feeder steers 91- 1.06. Crossbreds 1.01- 1.15. Holstein bull calves 40- 110. Beef cross bull and heifer calves 170- 250 /hd.
Market cows lower . 20% sold 52- 62.50. Top 65.50. 60% sold 44-51.
Hay market steady to lower. Rounds first crop grass 35- 55. Large squares second crop grass mix 70- 80. Baleage 25- 35. 1900 lb rounds Alfalfa baleage 75- 85. Small squares grass mix 3- 4.50.
